Combat Jack, a beloved figure in the hip-hop community, has died after a battle with colon cancer.
After coming up in the industry as a lawyer at Def Jam Recordings in the ‘90s, Combat hosted his own podcast where he interviewed music staples like Damon Dash, Russell Simmons, and J. Cole.

The death of the hip-hop pioneer, real name Reggie Ossé, comes months after he opened up about his cancer diagnosis in October. He was 48 years old.
