Rejoice, Donald Trump supporters! POTUS might finally get his name on an important wall!

Israel’s transportation minister is going full speed ahead with a plan to dig a railway under Jerusalem’s Old City that would end at the Western Wall, with a station named after the holy turd himself.
Yisrael Katz plans to construct two underground stations and dig out over two miles of tunnel that pass near holy sites — including the Western Wall, the holiest site in Jerusalem where Jews, Christians, and Muslims can pray.
The railway would extend Jerusalem’s high-speed line from Tel Aviv to the Wall. Katz proposed naming the station after Trump “for his brave and historic decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.”

The proposal is likely to be met with heavy opposition from the Palestinian people, who are already enraged by Trump’s “brave and historic” recognition. The United Nations General Assembly voted to overwhelmingly reject Trump’s decision last week, with several traditional American allies breaking with Washington to vote for the resolution.
While this railway project will lead to great resistance — previous excavations near the holy site have sparked violent Palestinian protests — Israel’s transportation ministry expects the plans to be approved in the coming year.
On Wednesday, Ministry spokesperson Avner Ovadia said the project is estimated to cost over $700 million and would take four years to complete if approved, telling press:
“There’s no reason why this train won’t be built. We already know how to deal with no less difficult opposition.”
That difficult opposition has already been voiced on Twitter.

After news that Katz’s plans have been fast tracked following a meeting with Israel Railways executives, social media users understood why Trump was so adamant about moving the U.S. embassy to Tel Aviv: so he could get his name on a train station!
