Desperate times call for desperate measures.
As you know, the production of Sex & The City 3 was shut down after Kim Cattrall confirmed she would not be reprising her famous role as Samantha — leaving fans and the rest of the cast equally disappointed.
On Wednesday, Sarah Jessica Parker stopped by The Late Show where she joked that Stephen Colbert could fill the newly-opened spot. Ha!

When the late night host asked which part he would play in the film, the 52-year-old actress quipped:
“Well, there’s an opening!”
Colbert replied:
“Oh, really? Who do I have to act like? What would my character be like?”
The fashionista explained:
“Well, according to just very recent documentation about why we’re not making it is because the part usually played by Kim Cattrall has been vacated. So, that’s what I mean. Perhaps you’d want to play Samantha?”
Colbert seems like the PERFECT Samantha, as he suggested:
“I’m kind of a little slutty, kind of fun!”
Ha!
