Who has one working thumb and shade for days? Gus Kenworthy!
On Thursday, the 26-year-old revealed he sustained a minor injury to his hand — and while it won’t prevent Gus from hitting the slopes, it will make it easier to flip the middle finger to Mike Pence!

Sharing images of his X-ray and cast on Twitter, the athlete revealed he broke his thumb in practice this week.
Don’t worry — the injury won’t stop Gus from competing in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. It will, however, serve as an opportunity to shade America’s homophobic Vice President.
He shared:
Broke my thumb yesterday in practice. It won’t stop me from competing (obvi) but it does prevent me from shaking Pence’s hand so… Silver linings! Will be giving my teammates (and literally everyone else) an enthusiastic “thumbs up!” of encouragement the rest of the trip. pic.twitter.com/XylPPGAq9P

After his announcement, one responder commented that the openly gay Olympics’ “obsession with Pence is creepy.”
While the athlete has previously criticized Pence for his opposition to same-sex marriage and LGBT rights, he pointed out that “obsession” is a strong word, replying in a blistering clap back:
This was literally my first tweet ever that mentioned him. You’ve tweeted more about me than I have about him. Soooo actually it looks like YOU’RE the one who is obsessed with ME! And while I’m flattered I’m really just not interested. K thx bye! https://t.co/lzyiNvsduP

Ha! We’ll *snap* in approval since Gus doesn’t have the thumbs to do so right now.
