Uh-oh…
New reports out from NBC today are detailing several White House sources who say Chief of Staff John Kelly (pictured above, left) has allegedly referred to President Donald Trump as “an idiot” multiple times in the recent past — and at least four government official say they’ve witnessed the comments.

One senior White House official notes that Kelly — who is dealing with diminished influence in his role as Trump allegedly tires of having him on staff — is starting to say not-so-nice things about the President (below):
“He says stuff you can’t believe. He’ll say it and you think, ‘That is not what you should be saying.'”
Hmm…
Sources claim that Trump is aware of some of Kelly’s comments — though it’s unclear whether the President knows Kelly has called him an idiot, as the reports hold.

Publicly, today, Kelly himself called the “idiot” allegations “total BS” in a statement released to the media (below):
“I spend more time with the president than anyone else and we have an incredibly candid and strong relationship. He always knows where I stand and he and I both know this story is total BS. I am committed to the president, his agenda, and our country. This is another pathetic attempt to smear people close to President Trump and distract from the administration’s many successes.”
But there’s an even bigger issue at play here, too: Kelly also allegedly believes it’s himself and himself alone who is saving the country — and saving the President from himself.
Multiple current and former senior White House officials relayed to NBC in that special report that Kelly has undertaken various refrains of “I’m the one saving the country” at various points as Trump goes off the deep end with ill-advised tweets or other policy blunders.

One former senior White House official said (below):
“The strong implication being ‘if I weren’t here we would’ve entered WWIII or the president would have been impeached.'”
Wow.
Knowing Trump’s massive and SUPER sensitive ego, if those allegations about Kelly saving the country are true… that may be what ends up getting him canned soon.
