The Mountain still has to be taken down sometime during the final season Game of Thrones — and Hafthor Bjornsson isn’t getting any weaker in the meantime…
The 29-year-old, who plays Sir Gregor Clegane on the hit HBO series, has always been an absurdly strong man. But as of this weekend, the actor was officially crowned THE WORLD’S Strongest Man of 2018!

The Iceland native took to Instagram to commemorate his victory, thanking his trainers and supporters (Qyburn and Cersei Lannister, we assume) for helping him achieve his longtime dream. Bjornsson has placed in the annual Philippines-based competition multiple times over the years, but never placed number one — until now!
He also congratulated the two competitors who came in second and third place in his post, proving he’s classy, unlike that showboat Oberyn Martell.
