Cardi B continues her breakout year with a new, intimate feature in W Magazine.
In the publication’s annual art issue, the outspoken Bronx rapper talks being pregnant, being Kulture Kiari’s mom, having doubts about marrying Offset, and the price of fame now that her career has gone to a new level.
And yes, she does address her feud with Nicki Minaj, taking shots at her and explaining how things got to a breaking point at NYFW.

The 25-year-old makes it clear that regardless of the drama in her life right now, raising Kulture is her main priority:
“My baby. That’s all I give a fuck about right now.
I’m thinking about how my money’s going to last so this girl is 21 and put in college. I’m thinking about investments. I’m thinking about five years from now and about the craziest shit like, How am I going to discipline this girl?”
One of the sweetest parts of the whole piece was a moment Cardi shared between her and hubby Offset, when they were faced with the news that they were unexpectedly becoming parents at the height of their careers:
“You think my career’s going to be over? And he kept saying, ‘I don’t know how you don’t see it, but you so hot right now, nothing could get in your way. You just have to work hard and put out a poppin’ album. I think you should keep the baby.’ ”
The Migos star and his wife pushed through any doubts they had about their relationship and tied the knot in secret earlier this year. And despite what blogs or haters may say, they’ve remained strongly connected:
“We practically on the phone 24 hours a day. If I can’t find him, I’m going to find his friend. Somebody going to answer the phone. But I cannot be feeling insecure, to a point that I would drive my dude away, because these people want that to happen.”

The conversation eventually shifted to the rapper’s ongoing feud with Nicki Minaj and that “shoe heard around the world” moment when the two collided at NYFW.
“For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me. I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going.”
Cardi explains that seeing Minaj like and then unlike a tweet shading Cardi’s parenting decisions (which Nicki reportedly denied) is what set it all off:
“I was going to make millions off my Bruno Mars tour, and I sacrificed that to stay with my daughter. I love my daughter. I’m a good-ass fucking mom. So for somebody that don’t have a child to like that comment? So many people want to say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch another artist in the grocery store or down the block.”
Well, there you have it y’all!
