Another KarJenner controversy…
In the November 2018 issue of Vogue, Kendall Jenner appears in a spread — shot by Mikael Jansson — to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.

In one shot, the KUWTK star — wearing a Brock Collection floral dress — appears to have an Afro-like hairstyle. As seen on Instagram:
In another shot (below), the 22-year-old — in an Altuzarra ensemble — dons a different, teased-out look. Jenner appears alongside Imaan Hammam, a Dutch model of Egyptian and Moroccan descent, who wears an Afro in a different pic.
Once the images went viral, people instantly criticized Kendall’s hair. Social media users wrote:
“Why is Kendall wearing this attempt at an afro”
“Kandall is the epitome of not what you know but who you know. Privledge at its mediocre.”
“This is beyond ridiculoussssssss”
Some questioned Vogue‘s decision to cast Jenner instead of a model who naturally has an Afro.
“Why did you use a white celebrity for this shoot instead of a person of color who rocks this hair naturally?”
“Really? You couldn’t find a model who actually had real Afro ?”
On Monday, the publication responded to the controversy with the following statement:
“The image is meant to be an update of the romantic Edwardian/Gibson Girl hair which suits the period feel of the Brock Collection, and also the big hair of the 60s and the early 70s, that puffed-out, teased-out look of those eras. We apologize if it came across differently than intended, and did not mean to offend anyone by it.”
Kendall can’t stay out of trouble!
