Emilia Clarke FINALLY Sets The Record Straight On Which 'Game Of Thrones' Costar Left THAT Infamous Coffee Cup On Set!

The Mother of Dragons just came through with receipts!

Months after Game of Thrones wrapped on HBO, we FINALLY have the answer to one of the iconic show’s most-asked questions: who the hell left a coffee cup out in a scene in the final season?!

Well, Emilia Clarke knows the real answer and she set the record straight during her Wednesday night appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the truth may honestly surprise you!

As fans remember, episode four of the acclaimed series faced mass ridicule when eagle-eyed viewers noticed a rogue coffee cup was resting in front of the actress during a celebratory scene in Winterfell.

If you’ll recall, Sophie Turner previously claimed her on-screen brother, played by Kit Harrington, was actually the caffeinated culprit. This was after the GoT star also ruled out Emilia herself as a potential suspect of the cheeky and harmless crime.

In their sit-down, Fallon asked Clarke to respond to her costar’s comments and that’s when she spilled the brewed beans! After noting she “heard what’s up,” the actress said:

“So, here’s the truth. We had, like, a party before the Emmys recently, and [Conleth Hill]—who plays Varys, who’s sitting next to me in that scene—he pulls me aside and he’s like, ‘Emilia, I gotta tell you something. I gotta tell you something, love. The coffee cup is mine.'”

OMG. Varys?!

There you have it, y’all! It was our favorite chisme-loving eunuch and Master of Whispers who was responsible for one of the show’s biggest gaffes ever!

The 33-year-old thespian continued:

“It was his! It was Conleth’s coffee cup, he said so. He’s like, ‘I think it was, I’m sorry. I didn’t want to say anything because it seemed the heat was very much on you.’ And I was like, ‘What?!'”

And clearing her good name of any wrongdoing once and for all, she added:

“I think that’s who did it. I mean, he said it. He might have been drunk, but he said it, so I’m gonna take that.”

Fair enough!

WATCH as Emilia hilariously explains it all in the clip (above)! And then let us know, Perezcious readers, are you satisfied with this answer??

It’s still wild it was left in there in the first place, right? Anyway, we’re sure this isn’t the last we’ve heard about coffee-gate!
