Corey La Barrie, a popular YouTube personality, died on Sunday after he was involved in a car crash. He passed away on his 25th birthday.

Per TMZ, Ink Master star Daniel Silva was driving the vehicle and is set to be arrested for the murder of La Barrie. Los Angeles authorities were called to the accident scene in Valley Village, California on Sunday night, and the two men were transported to a hospital where Corey was pronounced dead.
Silva was allegedly behind the wheel of the McLaren sports car with La Barrie in the passenger seat when the car crashed into a street sign and tree. It is unclear who the car belonged to. Silva did not suffer any life-threatening injuries due to the crash and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital for a broken hip.
Additional details of the tragic accident are unclear at this time, but TMZ reports that birthday party witnesses claim Silva was drinking that evening prior to getting behind the wheel. It is suspected the two were driving at a high speed.
La Barrie’s mother Lissa Harrison confirmed her son’s passing on Instagram, writing (below) a heartfelt message along with a photo (above) of Corey:
“My heart breaks right now, on my sons 25 birthday today he was very drunk and got into a car with a drunk diver. The accident killed him instantly. No words can describe the sadness I feel in loosening a child. It just feels so unreal and I’m overwhelmed with grief. I love you so much Corey and will miss you so so much. It’s just so unfair”
Fans have taken to Twitter to share heartfelt tributes in honor of Corey:
“corey, you said you were under appreciated but i promise you that you’re appreciated more than you know. thank you for bringing so much love and happiness into peoples lives. you were taken too soon. rest easy, we love u”
