How awful!
We mentioned last week that legendary jazz performer, Etta James, was rushed to the hospital. Her son explained to the press that she was fine, but now, he has an update and it isn’t good news.
Not only is she suffering from a terrible infection and a superbug, but it has been revealed through her son that Etta has been battling Alzheimer’s disease for the better part of the last year. Because of the disease and her declining health, when Etta recovers, she will be transferred to a nursing home to help with her combative tendencies and confusion.
We can’t imagine how frightening this is for both Etta and her family. We just hope she feels better very soon and we send our well wished to those who are helping her in this most difficult time.
