Only days before Shannen Doherty was kicked off Dancing With the Stars, she was slapped with a $44,064.58 tax lien courtesy of the State of California.

Shannen’s reps claims that it was the first she heard of the tax debt and that it would “be taken care of promptly.”

Update: Sources reveal exclusively to us that the first time Doherty heard of the money owed was last night. Thankfully she has new business managers who are contacting the IRS now to get it taken care of.
