As we previously mentioned, Mexican singer Luis Miguel had been hospitalized for several days in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles due to a bacterial infection after a routine liposuction.
Thankfully he was released home over the weekend, just in time for his 40th birthday today.
However, the singer and his people have been very quiet about the whole situation.
On Friday, a rep from LuisMi’s music label, Warner Latin Music, only commented “I have no information to share.” As for his manager and agent, they wouldn’t comment at all.
But leave it to actress Sofia Vergara to speak out publicly about her friend.
The star of Modern Family made an appearance at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Media Awards in Century City, California this past Saturday. And when asked about her friend LuisMi, Vergara said he’s ├óΓé¼┼ôgoing to be OK.├óΓé¼┬¥
Adding, “He’s OK, everybody gets sick. He’s going to be OK. He’s young and strong.”
We hope she’s right and wish he’s feeling much better.
