“The Mariposa DR Foundation is a U.S. 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization with the mission of providing youth and families living in the Dominican Republic with the tools they need to become active community leaders for social change.

Education is the pathway out of poverty; but even to reach that pathway, we first need to confront the barriers that complicate and prevent learning: disease and poor sanitary conditions, hunger, lack of shelter and clothing, no jobs or financial resources and gender inequality.”
