Contrary to previous reports, Alec Baldwin will not be running against Senator Joe Lieberman in the 2012 election!
Yeah, that’s probably for the better!
Baldwin gave an interview to Playboy earlier this summer where the actor claimed he was interested in running against Sen. Lieberman in ’12.
The Connecticut senator responded through CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, telling Baldwin to “make his day.”
Sen. Lieberman must have scared Baldwin off, because a spokesperson for the 30 Rock star has said Baldwin believes Joe should keep his spot in office because of the lack of moderate Republicans in the Senate.
We can’t imagine a Baldwin in the Senate – can U????
