The Hangover doubled its expected gross on Friday night at the U.S. box office, becoming the first sleeper hit of the summer. Insiders are estimating that the film could take it $46 – $53 million this opening weekend.
Disney and Pixar darling Up looks like it will continue to do well, and is expected to make $45 in its second weekend.
And, Will Ferrell, Land of the Lost looks lost indeed, with an estimated opening of only $20 million for the weekend. The summer’s first box office bomb!
