On Saturday, Samantha Lynn Frazier was glad she didn’t rid herself of all the weight she’d promised herself she’d lose.
While in Atlantic City to visit family, she was shot outside Herman’s Place bar on New York Avenue at 1:30 a.m. and survived.
She passed out after being wounded and woke up in the Regional Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where doctors informed her that her extra belly fat had kept the bullet from doing extensive damage.
“My love handles saved my life,” said Frazuer. “I’d been hollering how I want to lose weight. I don’t want to lose weight anymore. I want to be as big as I can if it’s going to stop a bullet.”
Unfortunately, the shooter has not been identified, but she’s still one lucky girl!
