Hmmm, we don’t know how we feel about this…
Cartoon Network is planning to remake Looney Tunes where we’ll see “classic characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck move into the suburbs, where they will live alongside ‘unusual neighbors’ including Yosemite Sam, Tweety, and Sylvester.”
They also plan on reviving the music video series Merrie Melodies where the characters will perform original songs, as well as creating Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote CG shorts.
The network is even talking about an animated series based on DC Comics’ Mad magazine and the Young Justice cartoon.
The president of Turner Broadcasting Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media division, Stuart Synder says:
“We’re delivering and adding great brands and beloved franchises that represent the breadth and scope of Cartoon Network’s ongoing evolution.”
Is there anything original in Hollywood anymore?? We’re thinking not….
