A Million Little Names

James Frey, best known as the author that got told by Oprah Winfrey on national television, is said to be using several pseudonyms so he can work on no fewer than nine projects without his original namesake. As we understand it, James had come up with a few ideas and hired a collaborator to write them out fully.

All of the alleged nine books have already been published and some of the suggested titles for James’ secret work include the Fourth Realm Trilogy, written by “John Twelve Hawk” and I am Number Four, written by “Pittacus Lore”. When reached for comment, Frey said:

“I will neither confirm nor deny that I am John Twelve Hawks, Pittacus Lore, or anyone else . . . I will say that I have done, and I am continuing to do, projects that will come out anonymously or with invented names on them.”

How allusive! Care to share your secrets with us, James? We’ll stay hush-hush!
