A Squirrel In California Discovered To Have The Bubonic Plague!!!

squirrel

A squirrel with the Bubonic plague was found in California and three campgrounds, near when they found it, have been shut down!!

The camps are about fifty miles northeast from Los Angeles near a town called Wrightwood.

Back in Europe during the Middle Ages the bubonic plague was called the Black Death and killed millions of people during that time. This is the third time an animal has been discovered with the Bubonic plague in six years.

Here’s what one health deputy said:

“It is the plague. It is the bubonic plague, the Black Death. It├óΓé¼Γäós the same organism that it always has been.”

The squirrel was covered in fleas which is what officials believe is the reason it was infected.

Although the bubonic plague is definitely not as dangerous as it once was, it is better to be safe than sorry.

So if you go camping – make sure you bring some insect repellent! And don’t be petting any squirrels either!
