Amazing!
Sheffield Hallam University researchers have created an eco-friendly wedding dress that dissolves in water!
The gown’s material contains biodegradable polyvinyl alcohol, and while it won’t dissolve completely it can transform into 5 different garments.
Fashion lecturer Jane Blohm said of the dress that will be on display at the Sustainable Marriage exhibit that:
“Students wanted to challenge the notion that a wedding dress should only be used once and aimed to explore modern society’s attitudes towards throwaway fashion.”
That’s a lot better than having a one-time only dress sit in your closet, right?
Thoughts???
