Kyle Kennedy speaks out.
As we’ve reported, Aaron Hernandez‘s lawyers have made it clear that rumors of the NFL star having a prison lover are nothing more than a malicious lie to “tarnish” the convict’s reputation.
But regardless of the speculation, it is clear the late athlete did have a very close relationship with the 22-year-old, who he spent the past four years with behind bars at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts.

Kennedy, who is no longer on suicide watch and is reported to be the last person to see Hernandez before he hung himself in his cell, reacted to the death of his pal in a statement to RadarOnline.com, saying:
“I miss my friend Aaron Hernandez. I’d like to send my condolences to his fianc├â┬⌐e, his mother, and his daughter.”
It remains unconfirmed if one of Hernandez’s three suicide letters was actually addressed to the convicted robber despite Kennedy’s lawyer saying so.
Regardless, Aaron’s friend definitely seems to be some piece to the puzzle.
