Whenever someone does something terrible, people always look back wondering if there were any signs that everyone missed.
In the case of Aaron Hernandez, the New England Patriots were one of the teams that overlooked his past history with positive marijuana tests in college, and signed him anyway.
They turned out to be right in ignoring that worry because once the tight end got to the NFL, all of his tests were clean!
The Pats also ignored the fact that Hernandez scored a 1/10 for “Social Maturity” in a pre-draft test that he took, because he scored really well on areas like “Focus,” “Self-Efficacy,” “Receptivity to Coaching,” and “Dedication.”
Maturity is a big deal, but they could have easily chalked it up to his young age, and assumed that he’d grow up in the league.
Especially with coach Bill Belichick and Tom Brady helping him along!
But we want to know how you feel…
