The number one show in late night isn’t The Late Show with David Letterman or The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
It’s Nightline!
ABC News’ Nightline was the most watched late night program for the 2009/2010 season, which is a first for the show in 15 years.
Executive producer James Goldston says:
“This is a very proud day for all of us at ABC News. Every member of our show works extraordinarily hard each day to bring great stories and unique journalism to all of our viewers. This team has earned all of the success that Nightline has achieved in recent years.”
This just goes to show that maybe America wants to watch real news rather than hear a couple of stale jokes from old talking heads.
Way to go, Nightline!
