No Verdict Reached In Pivert Hearing

Well, the Actors’ Equity union heard out Jeremy Piven and the producers of Speed the Plow on Thursday, and ultimately no unanimous decision was reached.
Up until his doctor-ordered departure from Speed The Plow, The Pivert was dutifully present at every show, despite battling “extreme fatigue, spatial and balance problems, advancing neuroskeletal weakness, memory problems, difficulty breathing, and an alarmingly low resting heart rate,” says a statement from the Entourage star.
By mid-December, the Pivert had to pull out or face dire health consequences, and it took a Yale affiliated Harvard-educated cardiologist to finally pry poor Pivert from the play. Or so he claims.
By the end of January, the show’s producers announced that they had made their investment back and that the play had been profitable.
The statement also said that Jeremy is hopeful the producers will realize he had no choice, and leave him alone.
Pussy!
A joint statement issued by the Actors Equity union and the Broadway producers’ trade association, the Broadway League, said “the producers have the right, as a next step, to proceed to arbitration.”
Hopefully they will pursue that!
