Man V. Food Star Adam Richman Loses His New TV Show After A Profanity-Laced Instagram Scandal!

This is just sad anyway that you look at it!
Man v. Food star Adam Richman has struggled with being overweight his whole life, so when he showed off his recent weight loss, he was excited! Unfortunately, he ignorantly hashtagged the pic “#thinspiation” which is linked with being pro-anorexia and pro-bulimia.
So, some commenters called Richman out on this! But instead of handling it sensitively, he instead responded with vitriol, saying things like:

“Maybe you’ll acknowledge that just because someone is on TV, they are no less worthy of human kindness, respect, forgiveness or patience…Give me a f*cking break. If anyone acts like a c*nt I’ll call them one. It’s not misogyny, it’s calling a spade a spade….if my use of the hashtag offended you, it was unintentional & for that I’m sorry.”

He also told someone:

“Grab a razor blade and draw a bath. I doubt anyone will miss you.”

WOAH! Strong language there, buddy! And it’s only the tip of his ranting iceberg!
The oddest part is that Richman has since tweeted and deleted two apologies, which read:

“In real life, if you say stuff you regret in anger, you cool down, apologize & move on.If you’re a celeb on social media – it becomes a blog.”
“Yes. I’ve responded to internet hate recently with vile words directed at those hating me. I am sorry, I should know better & will do better.”

Further, Richman has also deleted his Instagram!
So, in light of all of this, the Travel Channel has postponed Richman’s new show debut for Man Finds Food, which was supposed to premiere on July 2nd!
Then, on Tuesday morning, Richman finally released an OFFICIAL apology on Good Morning America, which said:

“I’ve long struggled with my body image and have worked very hard to achieve a healthy weight. I’m incredibly sorry to everyone I’ve hurt.”

We totally get it; weight loss is something to be proud of, and Richman seemed to be trying to inspire people with his #thinspiration tag. However, once he learned what it really meant, his reaction was COMPLETELY inappropriate!
Hopefully, Richman will continue on his healthy path, and will also make an effort to be kind to people who have unfortunately struggled with the other side of weight loss.
Also, maybe taking some anger management classes wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
