Well, all good things must come to an end.
Aerosmith is going to go on their farewell tour in 2017, with frontman Steven Tyler telling Howard Stern this week that “it’s time.”

The 68-year-old crooner — who is currently pursuing a country music career, too — spoke to the radio host about the band’s 46-year long career and the thoughts behind wrapping things up next year, saying:
“I love this band, I really do, and I want to squash every thought that anybody might have about this: The band’s over. We’re doing a farewell tour, but it’s only because it’s time.”
When Stern doubled down on Tyler to make sure “farewell” actually meant, you know, farewell, the Dream On singer laughed about how other bands have done multiple farewell tours — and said that’s not going to happen with Aerosmith.
Tyler had said earlier a similar thing, saying how proud he was about how long Aerosmith has been around:
“Look, there’s two bands that still have the original members, us and the Stones. I’m grateful for that.”
True THAT!
Nevertheless, it looks like a tour — a really long tour, if Tyler gets his way — is on the horizon as Aerosmith heads off into the sunset…
