'Affluenza Teen' Ethan Couch Released From Jail After Serving 2 Years

no title
Ethan Couch was released from a Tarrant County, Texas jail on Monday after serving nearly two years for a revoked probation. The 20-year-old, who is reportedly no longer an insufferable brat, will be issued a court-ordered ankle monitor at the probation office.
Couch’s release comes almost five years after he struck and killed four people in a drunken car wreck in June 2013. At his manslaughter trial, the court psychologist blamed the accident and the then-16-year-old’s lack of remorse on family wealth, dubbing it “Affluenza.”

A juvenile court sentenced him to 10 years of probation, which was revoked in 2016 after Couch attended a party where alcohol was served.
Though the Affluenza survivor is a free man, his mother Tonya Couch still awaits trial on charges of hindering apprehension of a felon and money laundering when she fled to Mexico with her son in 2015.
