As we mentioned yesterday, Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden was almost denied entry onto a flight on uptight British Airways after an employee told him to cover up his tattoos (of the religious, familial, non-sexual type).
Can we say discrimination?
None of his tattoos are really “offensive.” Especially according to babymomma Nicole Richie, who says his “tattos are spiritual. Since when is expressing your love for God & family against what British Airways stands for?”
Well, Joel ended up covering his tattoos and got on the flight since he didn’t want to get stuck behind, but not without speaking out about the incident online.
And, now, British Airways is trying to defend themselves, blaming it all on that douche of an employee.
According to the airline, they claim, ├óΓé¼┼ôWe don’t understand why the employee took it upon himself to enforce regulations that don├óΓé¼Γäót exist.├óΓé¼┬¥
With a rep adding that “British Airways has no policy against tattoos at all. The only dress policy is that people dress appropriately. There’s absolutely no prohibition of tattoos.”
Time to seriously reprimand the employee or fire their stupid ass. You just can’t make up rules as you wish!
