Alan Cumming Puts HBO's Girls On Blast For Unprotected Sex!

Alan Cumming has a problem with Girls! And it’s too much unprotected sex!
During a recent discussion about AIDS at the 92nd Street Y, the Good Wife star pointed specifically at Lena Dunham‘s critical darling as a show that has too much promiscuity.
Alan thinks the media should be more conscientious with the way it shows condom use as a way to stop the spread of disease. He says:

“We├óΓé¼Γäóve got to try and stop this cavalier attitude that it├óΓé¼Γäós in the past. It├óΓé¼Γäós not.”

But is Girls really the right target for Alan’s admonishment? The show has at least mentioned condoms a few times over its two seasons- more than many shows that depict sex on the regular.
But maybe Alan thinks more would be better?
Girls seems to pride itself on its HONEST depiction of sexuality, what with the awkwardness and lack of passion. The follies of fumbling with protection could potentially be something to play with in future episodes.
Does HBO’s Girls show too much unprotected sex? What do U think?
