You oughta know that Alanis Morissette‘s Jagged Little Pill musical is in the works!
The singer revealed plans for adapting her iconic 1995 album into a musical back in 2013, and now it looks like it’s getting closer and closer to being a reality. In fact, it’s set for its debut in May 2018 at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts!

Juno‘s Diablo Cody is working with Alanis to flesh out a story about “a modern and multi-generational family and their complex dynamics, touching on issues of gender identity and race.”
Ironic, You Oughta Know, and Hand In My Pocket are definitely going to be in the repertoire, with other hits from later albums also being included.
We already know the music is great, so it’ll be interesting to see how it translates to the stage.
