On no he didn’t!
We reported earlier how Alec Baldwin got the pink slip from MSNBC for his homophobic slurs, and now Alec has come to grips with the only person responsible for this: himself the VP of GLAAD?
Wait, what?!
In a recent interview, Alec talked about who he thought was really behind his talk show’s cancellation:
“But you’ve got the fundamentalist wing of gay advocacy├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥Rich Ferraro (VP of GLAAD) and Andrew Sullivan (blogger)├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥they’re out there, they’ve got you. Rich Ferraro, this is probably one of his greatest triumphs. They killed my show. And I have to take some responsibility for that myself.”
Or, we don’t know, you could take all responsibility? We’re confused…did they make you say homophobic slurs?
We understand that it must be tough getting your show cancelled based on something you said, but as any talk show host should know, words have enormous weight and value.
We hope Alec learns a valuable lesson from this and makes a change! Or at least hires a a censor to walk around and “bleep” things out for him in real life.
