Alex Pettyfer Talks I Am Number 4, Modeling, And His Past

Fortunately, Alex Pettyfer didn’t seem too divariffic during this interview! Let’s hope we don’t hear too many more complaints that could harm his reputation further.
During a recent interview, Alex spoke about I Am Number 4, his brief modeling past, and what got him acting in the first place.
Here’s what he had to say about his training process for I Am Legend Number 4:

“I did everything, and I did two months training beforehand. D.J. is a very hands-on director and is literally by your side, every minute. He creates these phenomenal sets and phenomenal situations and sticks you plunk in the middle, and you don├óΓé¼Γäót really realize that you├óΓé¼Γäóre in a movie anymore. You go, ‘Oh, shit! I better run for my life.├óΓé¼┬¥

Alex on the possibility of I Am Number Four sequels:

“Yeah. Hopefully, people will enjoy the movie as much as we enjoyed making it and, hopefully, we will get an opportunity to make a second one.”

Alex on the message of the movie, for teens:

“Stand and fight for what you believe in.”

Alex on how he got into acting in the first place:

“I was at school. I had a big crush on a girl and I joined the media class because she was in it. I realized that I was two years younger than her and I wasn├óΓé¼Γäót in the same class as her, and I was stuck with it. I went on this school trip, and I didn├óΓé¼Γäót really care about acting or about media. I wanted to be a racing driver.”
“I went to go to the toilet and walked into this auditioning room where Stephen Fry was, and he must have taken a fancy. Him and the producer stuck me in this small TV movie, called Tom Brown├óΓé¼Γäós Schooldays, which was a great experience. I loved every second and realized that, as long as this journey was going to go forward, I was going to go with it ├óΓé¼╦£cause who doesn├óΓé¼Γäót like playing dress up?”

Alex on his background in modeling:

“I did a modeling gig for Burberry once, and it was a great experience, but no I am not a model. I want to be a model because it├óΓé¼Γäós a lot easier than acting.”

Don’t worry, Alex. If things don’t work out with the movies, we’re sure you could get more modeling gigs with Burberry. They make underwear, right???
LOLz!
