Alexandra Shipp Is Introduced As Aaliyah In First Teaser For New Lifetime Flick!

She’s got a HUGE task ahead of her!
And this teaser does NOT help explain a lot!
Regardless, we were pretty excited to see the first look at the Nickelodeon star Alexandra Shipp and her transformation into the late music superstar Aaliyah which Lifetime recently showed in a new teaser!
Unfortunately the teaser was only fifteen seconds!!!
The Lifetime biopic’s production has been wrought with controversy as Aaliyah’s family have specifically said they disapprove of the movie known as Aaliyah: Princess of R&B which will focus on the budding superstar who died in a plane crash when she was 22-years-old in 2001.
They also had to at one point recast the lead role!

However the movie is slated to air on the Lifetime channel on November 15th at 8 p.m. ET so we’ll be at least super curious to see what this channel is able to come up with!
We’re sure Shipp’s performance will be adept, but we’re just not so sure about the overall movie and if they should’ve made it in the first place!
Guess it’s too late to question that though!
