On Wednesday, it was revealed that the Gilmore Girls star and her husband Vincent Kartheiser welcomed their first child… quite a while ago!
And it wasn’t even the precious parents who dropped the baby bomb!

The brunette beauty’s GG costar Scott Patterson casually let the secret slip in a new interview with Glamour while he was talking about watching the actress grow into an adult, saying:
“She’s really blossomed as a woman and now she’s a proud new mother and married and happy. I remember her as an 18-year-old kid, fresh out of college coming into Hollywood and being a little overwhelmed. She’s just the most likable, intelligent person and adorable human being. She hasn’t changed at all. She looks the same. “
And instead of “proud new mother,” the 57-year-old probably should’ve said “seasoned pro,” because she actually gave birth MONTHS ago!
The 34-year-old’s rep confirmed to E! News that she brought her bundle of joy into the world last fall! At the very least, that’s six months ago.
That means this baby was kept a secret for at least half of a year! Damn! That’s some serious skill! But we can’t be TOO shocked, since the cute couple also kept their wedding under wraps.
Anyway, that’s not even the only piece of baby blabber the famous father spilled! The Pennsylvania native also revealed that the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants alum and the Mad Men actor had a little boy, adding:
“We’re comparing notes because my son is about a year and a half older than her young son. I’m showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We’re just really enjoying each other’s company.”
Well, we’re really glad you and Alexis are having fun, Scott. Oh, and thanks for telling the world that she had that baby, because we probably never would have found out otherwise.
