And there it is. Four years and one Lifetime movie later, Amanda Knox is a free woman.
Maybe she’ll get around to watching that the movie now.
An Italian appeals jury overturned Amanda’s murder conviction today, bringing an end to her prison sentence and the freedom to return to her family in Seattle. Her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito was also cleared of the murder charges. Amanda retains the defamation charge for when she tried accuse club owner Patrick Lumumba of killing her roommate, Meredith Kercher.
As you can see from the video (above), Amanda cried with jubilation as she was whisked away back to prison to collect her things and finally return to her family and friends back home.
