We can’t imagine having to go through this whole ordeal once, let alone having to now do it TWICE.
Amanda Knox went through one of the worst & most terrifying experiences anyone could possibly think up while studying abroad.
She survived it all when she was acquitted, found innocent, and released back to the U.S. in 2011.
But now she’s been found guilty again and the former college-student-found-murderer is speaking out on what it’s like to be in her shoes, and it’s not exactly a walk in the park.
Being “marked” as a criminal makes her feel as if she’s been diagnosed with cancer!
She admitted:
“I feel stranded. Granted, I feel so much safer here in the US, where people still believe in me, but when I talked to you about feeling marked ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ being marked as an exoneree is one thing and being marked as a criminal is another. It hurts. It’s not OK.
People have been quiet and respectful, but it’s like I’ve just been diagnosed with cancer. There’s nowhere I can go where there’s not this knowledge that I’m this girl who is convicted again. I’m never going to be OK with the idea that somebody can quote some judge’s decision and say I’m a convicted murderer.”
WOW. Talk about having it affect your whole life.
We can only imagine how awful it must be be found innocent in the case of Meredith Kercher‘s death and then find none of that matters.
It’s definitely a devastating blow for her.
