Jeff Bezos is the founder and CEO of Amazon.com and he’s a pretty awesome guy.
We previously mentioned that he donated millions of dollars to support gay marriage. So amazeballs!
He had a bit of a health scare recently… well, more than a bit: he had to be airlifted out of the Galapagos due to a medical emergency!
He released a statement that said simply:
“Galapagos: five stars. Kidney stones: zero stars.”
That’s a pretty serious review from the founder of Amazon!
Kidney stones must reallllllly suck!
They were so bad, Jeff had to be airlifted off a cruise ship by the Ecuadorian navy!
The helicopter pilot said:
“We landed our helicopter on a football pitch. They told us that a doctor had already gone in [the] boat to treat him onboard the yacht … They stabilized him and took him to the United States. He was conscious, but he was on a drip.”
They took him to a nearby island where he hopped on his private jet and made his way to the U.S. for emergency surgery.
We’re glad he was able to get into surgery!
