After years of dodging the sales tax bullet, Amazon‘s tax-free days may be coming to an end and soon.
For years Amazon has argued an online sales tax would be a violation of past Supreme Court rulings, but now that online shopping has become one of the primary ways consumers shop the government wants their piece of the ca$$$h pie.
Later this month, Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin will introduce the Main Street Fairness Act that would require both brick and mortar and online businesses to collect sales tax based on where their customer lives.
Many believe Amazon will ultimately lose the battle, but will drag it out as long as possible.
What do U think of the proposed tax???
