Wow.
The controversy surrounding Johnny Depp and Amber Heard just keeps getting messier and messier.
On one side, you have the 30-year-old actress accusing Depp of physical and verbal abuse throughout the “entirety” of their four year relationship. On the other side, you have the actor’s camp claiming Heard is “attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.”
As we know, Heard filed for divorce from the 52-year-old after 15 months of marriage on May 23. Days later, she was granted a restraining order after submitting a photo of alleged injuries resulting from Depp throwing an iPhone at her face during an argument.
In the latest issue of People, new photos show injuries on Heard’s face from other alleged instances of Depp’s abuse.

On the mag’s cover in a photo taken by Amber’s friend, the Danish Girl actress looks down solemnly as wounds surrounding her lips and eye are on full display. This particular injury is said to have been inflicted by Depp in December 2015.
Court filings back up this claim citing Amber saying:
“There was one severe incident in December 2015 when I truly feared for my life.”
Whoa.
In a series of other photos that appear to be selfies, the Texas native is seen from a variety of angles documenting a busted lip and bruised eye.
