Everyone wants to be a superhero!
Warner Brothers is about to test the superhero waters in a BIG way with the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in March.
BvS is a HUGE gamble for the studio as it looks to set up the entire DC universe with a new Batman (Ben Affleck) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), as well as the first film appearances of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), and a few other rumored heroes.

Despite the risk, WB is still moving forward with their other slated superhero movies and are currently in talks with Amber Heard to star as the female lead in Aquaman!
If the deal goes through, it would see Heard starring opposite of Momoa and she will reportedly play Mera, the love interest for Aquaman and the eventual queen of Atlantis.
Since we already learned some release dates for DC’s slate of superhero flicks, we know that Aquaman isn’t splashing into theaters until July 27, 2018.
However, sources claim that Amber’s character would make her first appearance in the first Justice League movie which comes out November 17, 2017!
Currently Zack Snyder is attached to direct Justice League; Furious 7‘s James Wan will helm Aquaman.

While there are still a lot of big questions we need answered to see if the DC movies will be any good, we definitely give the thumbs up to Heard starring opposite Momoa!
