Amber Heard must feel so betrayed.
As you’ve likely seen, there has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding Johnny Depp‘s casting in the Fantastic Beasts sequel.

In case you missed it, at the end of 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Colin Farrell‘s character transformed into a Depp-portrayed Gellert Grindelwald. However, amid Johnny’s initial participation in the Harry Potter spin off, the A-lister was hit with troubling claims of domestic abuse by his ex-wife. Despite the scandal, the 54-year-old kept his role in the Fantastic Beasts follow up.
Both screenwriter J.K. Rowling and director David Yates have come to Depp’s defense following the backlash. Warner Bros. also stood by the industry vet as they released a statement where they highlighted certain parts from Heard and Depp’s joint words on their divorce. Specifically, the studio shared the line where the former flames stated “there was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.”
This, understandably, rubbed Amber the wrong way as she felt it was manipulative to quote her statement with Johnny out of context. The 31-year-old addressed her issue with Warner Bros. on Twitter as she posted:

Warner Bros.’ decision to stand by the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor must’ve stung Heard as she’s a part of the WB family too. As you surely know, Amber appeared in Warner Bros.’ Justice League and will star in the upcoming Aquaman.
We’re sure this has Amber questioning her professional ties…
