Last September, the world watched on as MTV’s Teen Mom star Amber Portwood slapped, choked and kicked her baby daddy in front of their child. After the episode aired, Amber was promptly charged with two felony domestic battery charges which yesterday, she pled guilty to.
However, it turns out that Amber struck a deal before entering her plea that kept her from going to prison. Instead, she has been put on probation by the judge, who also ordered that she undergo 30 days of inpatient therapy, obtain her high school diploma and put $10,000 in a college fund for her 2-year-old daughter.
Now THAT sounds like a good idea, especially the part about graduating high school and preparing for her daughter’s future. You know, then “phenomenon” of this show isn’t going to last forever. Girl needs to start thinking about her family’s future. And trust us when we tell you, no place is hiring an unwed teenage mother with a bad attitude, violent history and no high school diploma. They don’t care what reality show you were on!
