Move Over, United -- American Airlines Gets Hit With A Lawsuit Over Alleged Racist Practices!

There’s plenty of room in the skies for airline controversies!
American Airlines temporarily stole the spotlight from United after a pastor claimed he was blocked from a flight just because he’s Korean.
TMZ reports Benny Shin filed a lawsuit against AA on Thursday, just a few hours after the injured Dr. David Dao‘s lawyers held a press conference announcing he would probably be filing a mega lawsuit against United.
Not the best week for airlines… or travel in general.

The 75-year-old alleges he was waiting to board a flight from Dallas to Corpus Christi in June 2016 when the gate agent refused to let him on the plane — even though he paid for his flight and had a seat assignment.
According to the documents, Shin says “5-7 white passengers behind him” were allowed on board.
While American did give him a voucher for a next day flight, Shin says the experience left him feeling humiliated, embarrassed, and scared. He plans to sue for at least $6 million.
We don’t have to wonder what might have happened if the passenger refused to be re-accommodated to a later flight.
