American Apparel Issues Recall On Its Nail Polish

Bad news for American Apparel. The company has recalled their new nail polish line after it was found that the bottles kept breaking.

The line was released last December and its polish is said to be toxin-free.

But according to the company’s PR team:

“After receiving a few reports of bottles breaking, we made the internal decision to do a voluntary recall of the bottles on both a retail and public level.”

The company added that they’re working closely with their manufacturing company to ensure the second batch of bottles don’t have the same issues.

And to make it up to consumers, American Apparel “will offer an exchange of two new bottles or a $10 giftcard for anyone who brings in a unit from the original run or a receipt.”

Sounds like a good deal. We just hope no one was injured with some broken glass from the nail polish bottles.
