This is a bit of a win/lose situation, but we think it’s ultimately for the best!
Although American Horror Story was originally expected to have a 13-episode first season, which was scheduled to conclude with a two-hour long season finale, the series’ aggressive production scheduled have forced it to be trimmed down to just 90 minutes!
Apparently, due to the complex content being filmed, production of the series would not wrap until December 15th, which left next to no time for post to get the last addition ready for the December 21st air date!
HOWEVER, rest assured, fans, we may be losing a half an hour, but we’ve also caught wind that the second season, which is already in the works, will now be EXTENDED beyond the initial 13!
All right! We’ll take it!
We LOVE this show, and so long as Ryan Murphy and company give the finale enough thought and time to ensure that it doesn’t feel rushed, then we’ll be happy!
