Ok, you know what? This is just … unexceptable. We were on board with the movie being turned into a musical. It sounds inventive and the Spring Awakening people are behind it, so we know its going to be solid.
But this! THIS! This is just wrong!
The news this afternoon that Lionsgate is moving forward with a remake of the classic Christian Bale flick is just … insulting. American Pyscho is just one of those movies that should be untouchable. It’s also pretty remarkable that the studio is deciding to put more momentum into this project when it has been on their back burner for so long.
Do we sense some capitalizing on the latest Bret Easton Ellis controversy here? Or does the studio have a new special edition DVD of the original DVD coming out which is in need of some hype?
You know what? Maybe we won’t get too upset over this till we see some actual headway being made with it.
Small recommendation though: Courtney Stodden as Jean! Can you see it?
