American Tourist Killed In Thailand For Singing Along With Karaoke Band!

So, so sad.

An American tourist who demanded to keep singing along with a Thailand bar’s karaoke band was killed by one of the musicians in a brawl outside the establishment.

According to a local Thai police official, Dallas businessman Bobby Ray Carter Jr. was 51 years old when he died in a hospital far away from his home in Texas, after being stabbed in the chest from the altercation that happened early Wednesday morning at Ao Nang beach in Thailand’s Krabi province.

Bobby and his son, Adam, had reportedly gotten drunk, started singing with the band, and refused to leave the stage to let other customers sing along.

Reportedly, things escalated into a heated argument between Bobby and the band after he knocked over their tip jar, and finally he was stabbed in the chest with a metal rod in the scuffle that ensued outside the Little Longhorn Saloon.

Meanwhile, his son sustained injuries to the head.

All three band members were arrested. There are conflicting reports about whether or not they face charges of assault and murder, or causing death by physical attack.

What terrible news! Our hearts are with the Carters in this tough time.
