A California high school has been left reeling after a star cheerleader died tragically.

17-year-old Emily Gold, who memorably appeared on America’s Got Talent earlier this year with the Los Osos High School dance group, was sadly found dead under a bridge in Rancho Cucamonga on Friday. Heartbreakingly, the San Bernardino Coroner’s Office revealed the late teen died by suicide.

So sad. And SO young.

In a GoFundMe dedicated to Emily, friends have shared their support both financially and emotionally. One devastated supporter wrote:

“We are sending tons of love, thoughts and prayers to your family. We remember all those long gymnastics days spent together. Those Vegas trips. She will be missed dearly. May she rest in peace and may you all find some comfort in the arms of each other. We love you and are here for you.”

As we noted, Emily appeared on AGT earlier this year, where she and the Los Osos High School dance team received a standing ovation from Simon Cowell. Watch (below):

Our hearts go out to all of Emily’s loved ones. Rest in peace.
