Mitch revealed that she’s been clean since Christmas, but it wasn’t easy getting there.
Out of desperation, Mitch faked a heart attack!
He says, “I was at me wits end. I just didn’t know which way to turn.├é┬áI’d tried everything.”├é┬áHe even got a doctor involved so that his troubled daughter would believe him, which she did.├é┬á From that moment on, she was on the path to recovery from her heroin addiction.├é┬á
The little lady with a huge voice and even bigger hair started to take drug replacements as long ago as last August, but was on and off through November, when she checked herself into a clinic to get serious help.├é┬á Things were looking up until then-husband/current douchebag Blake Fielder-Civil sucked her back into his druggie ways.├é┬á “I was incandescent – someone who wanted to get clean reunited with her junkie husband,” says Mitch.├é┬á That’s when he pulled out all the stops and faked his heart attack.├é┬á Thankfully, it worked!├é┬á She put down the needles last December and hasn’t been high since.├é┬á
While the troubled singer still has issues with alcohol, things are looking much brighter and there are plans for new music in the future. 
We hope Amy stays on the right track and follows through with some good new music.├é┬áWe’ve missed her tunes on the music scene!
